Heavy rain persisted for a second day on Monday in the undivided districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East, and West Godavari, flooding roads and agricultural fields. Overflowing rivulets, streams, lakes, and irrigation tanks submerged low-lying areas, isolating dozens of villages.

Coastal areas including Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and the Godavari districts have experienced localized flooding due to up to 200 mm of rainfall.
