Kamareddy: After addressing the drinking water supply, irrigation and power supply issues, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was now focusing on improving education and medical and health sector, Industries Minister KT Rama Rao said. In a span of seven years, the Chief Minister addressed all the issues pertaining to drinking water supply and water to agricultural sector and was providing 24 hours free and quality power supply.

Central Government appreciated the Mission Bhagiratha programme and announced that Telangana was the only State, which was providing safe drinking water to each household through taps, he said. The Minister along with Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy and other elected public representatives inaugurated the newly constructed Government High School building at Janagama village in Bibipet mandal here on Tuesday.


The school building was constructed by a realtor Subhash Reddy with a cost of Rs.6 crore. He studied in the school and constructed a new building with his own funds. Appreciating Subhash Reddy for constructing the school building, the Minister said Subhash Reddy had set a new benchmark. It was perhaps the best Government High School at mandal level in the State. Industries Minister KT Rama Rao further said “Inspired by him, I too will construct a new building for the Primary School in the neighbouring Konapur village, which is also my grandmother’s native village,”

The Minister appealed to all the financially well to do people to take up such noble works and contribute to the Government’s development programmes. Irrespective of politics, people should participate in such programmes and address local issues, he said. Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said with State Government conducting online classes in government schools across the State on par with private schools, admissions into government schools had increased drastically.

On the appeal for sanctioning a intermediate college for the village, the Minister said the issue would be taken up with the Chief Minister. She also appealed to the people from all sections of the society to adopt government schools and colleges and construct buildings and provide other facilities. MP BB Patil announced a donation of Rs 11 lakh towards corpus fund for maintenance of the school.
