Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra on Thursday handed over a cheque of Rs 30 lakh to the kin of K Suresh, a Home Guard who lost his life in a road accident last November.

Suresh, who was attached to the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, died in the accident on November 10, 2020. The police department was extending all benefits to home guards on par with police constables.


HDFC Circle Head Badri Vishal said the financial aid was given to the late home guard’s wife Kavali Renuka as part of the HDFC salary account accidental death insurance coverage.
