Hyderabad: Entertainment for the action and thriller loving audience is doubled now as the Tanaav series is back with much more nail-grip action sequences. With Manav Vij, Arbaaz Khan, Danish Husain, Ekta Kaul, in lead roles, the season two is on SonyLIV.

The first season which was released in November 2022 won appreciation and the second one too live up to the standards set. The second season starts on a new note and the main story starts in between where the first season ended. Many new characters are added in this new season with new stories and flashbacks from each other’s points of view.

Acting is on point for main characters but it could be more effective if a proper story sequence is given for supporting characters as well.

Set in Kashmir, Tanaav Season 2 revolves on personal hardships, political intrigue, moral ambiguity, and unresolved problems. It delves into the inner challenges of characters while also examining the lives of security forces, terrorists, and civilians.

The plot in the second season thickens with the emergence of new character Al-Damishq, who is out to avenge his father’s death in a suicide bombing, creating chaos with a series of attacks on security forces. The attacks also results in the assassination of special task group commander (Arbaaz Khan) prompting Kabir (Manav Vij)’s return to action.

The action sequences are good and natural and elements of drama, action, and emotion are well balanced. With six episodes, it is a decent season, but could have worked better if it allowed for better development of characters instead of appearing to have been rushed in between the episodes.
